Urged the county to invest in a sports complex, citing Wilson and Goldsboro complexes that generate millions in tourism spending and arguing travel sports could fill the off-season tourism gap.

Said Morehead City Little League may have to close registration due to a lack of fields; recommended more fields in a central location, artificial turf at Swinson Park (which his league will fund), and school field sharing.

President of Beaufort Little League supported the push for more fields, thanked county Parks & Recreation, and noted fields benefit adults' health too.

Vice president of Morehead City Little League said fields are at or beyond capacity, the county loses tournament bids without a multi-field complex, and urged prioritizing field expansion in the upcoming budget.
